Grocery Services

Generate & Print Barcodes

Once items are added to EZ Retail's inventory, Barcodes can be generated and printed. You'll be able to choose from multiple different types of codes, such as customized UPC codes, PLU codes (for weighted items), or Item codes.

Your chosen codes will then be generated and added to those items, after which you can choose and customize the layout and size of the code labels for printing.

While time in the office is important, EZ Retail will minimize and automate many time consuming processes.

Everything that you sell needs a barcode - and EZ Retail gives you the flexibility to generate and print multiple code types, including customized UPC codes, PLU codes (for weighted items), and item codes. Just add an item to the system, assign the appropriate code type, and generate and print labels customized to the size and layout that you prefer.

With EZ Retail, barcodes are issued correctly, quickly, and with maximum efficiency.

Weighted Items Inventory

With EZ Retail check out with Weighted Items is simple. Add products with costs that are determined by weight to the system and print customizable PLU codes that, at checkout, will then calculate the correct price. Inventory Sales Reports will reflect weight of sales along side the costs.

Lot Matrix System

A Lot Matrix System is one of the more complex features of EZ Retail.

Sometimes, items might be sold individually or in boxes, cases, or cartons. But they might be purchased as a crate of several cases. EZ Retail uses the Lot Matrix to track inventory and price point breaks of these different items.

Cigarettes may be sold as packs and cartons. A crate of cigarettes may contain 12 cartons of cigarettes, and each carton of may contain 12 packs. In EZ Retail, you can set the price points of each pack differently from each carton, and the Inventory will be correctly updated based on sales of such cartons and packs.

EZ Retail makes keeping track of overall inventory, and the break downs of that inventory, simple and painless.

Cigarettes, for example, arrive as packs within cartons within cases, which can make tracking individual sales and inventory difficult. PLU Item Integration

For items that already have PLU codes designated to them, EZ Retail will allow for those codes to be used. Making integration of already existing PLU codes simple and easy.

Do you sell items that already have an assigned PLU code? While EZ Retail has the capability to generate original PLU codes, it also integrates pre-existing codes easily into the system. It's just another way that EZ Retail is committed to meeting the specific needs of your business.

OneClick Open Items

OneClick Open Items is EZ Retail's way of catching all items that may have not been entered to the system yet. If at checkout an item is not found to have been entered, the employee can one click add the item to the Open Items category to be designated to an Inventory Lot at a later time.

Keep your lines moving, your inventory correct, and your customers content with EZ Retail's One Click Open Items feature. If an undesignated item is scanned at checkout, the clerk can enter it into the open items category to be designated to an inventory lot later. With one click, the problem is solved - because, at EZ Retail, we believe that easier is better.

Track Payouts to Vendors

Keeping track of all Payouts to Vendors is a very useful automated function of EZ Retail.

Simply by choosing the Vendor from the Payout section of EZ Retail, reports can then be generated to keep track of purchase orders and inventory levels, making your book keeping nice and tidy.

With EZ Retail, you'll always have access to up-to-the minute vendor reports. At a glance, you'll know what you've paid and when, while tracking purchase orders and inventory levels quickly and easily. Effortless, accurate records make bookkeeping simple - and give you control of your business.

Track Sales Deposits

Periodically, for store and employee safety, it may be necessary to move cash from the register to a safe. EZ Retail offers a simple way to note a Sales Deposit, where it be after the register has reached a certain predetermined amount, or as a normal end of shift operation. Employees can easily enter the amount to be dropped in the sale, and the cash drawer will be updated with the less amount.

With EZ Retail, you'll maximize store safety while managing your cash with total accuracy. You simply decide how much cash you want to leave in the drawer, and when that level is reached, EZ Retailautomatically indicates that it's time to make a transfer to the safe. You can also choose end-of-shift or end-of-day as the standard transfer time. Whenever a transfer occurs, employees simply enter the amount, and it's automatically deducted from the drawer total. Safe levels of cash are maintained on hand, and you know exactly where your cash is at all times.

Age Verification

Keep track of age restricted or other flagged products with EZ Retail by flagging them for Age Verification.

Items at checkout, that have been flagged will prompt employees to check ID and enter the birth date of the customer. Once the age has been verified and approved, items with flags will be allowed for purchase. Reduce error and keep in good standings with local and federal law.

With strict state, local, and federal laws governing the sale of age-restricted products like alcohol and tobacco, unwittingly selling to a minor can be costly and embarrassing. EZ Retail's accurate and reliable age-verification capability ensures that you'll always be compliant with those laws. With EZ Retail, items flagged for verification can only be purchased through the entry of a valid birthdate at checkout. Suspend/Recall

In the case that a purchase cannot be completed at checkout, EZ Retail can mark an order is Suspended. A Recall Receipt is printed with a designated code that can be used to place all items on a Suspended order back into checkout.

Helpful for when a customer has to run to their car to grab their forgotten wallet, if a register needs to be used for another transaction. Another way EZ Retail helps improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

A distracted customer, forgotten item, or missing wallet can bring transactions to a grinding halt at checkout. Don't want to waste time and resources re-scanning an entire order? EZ Retail's Suspend/Recall feature generates a receipt code that makes it simple for an order to be checked out later without rescanning items.

Clothing Services

Track by UPC & Item Code

EZ Retail allows you to track items by their UPCs and/or their Item Codes.

In the example of clothing, you can generate and print your own unique UPCs for all your products. Those unique UPCs can then be used to identity specific details about that item, such as color or size. The Item Code can then be set to the style number that a vender assigned to a given lot of items, so it becomes easy to place reorders.

To contrast, EZ Retail will also let you use Item Codes to uniquely identity specific items and their details. Printing Item Code tags, opposed to UPCs.

With EZ Retail, you'll have the power and flexibility to generate your own UPC and Item Codes. Designate your UPC to track details like color, size, and cost, and associate Item Codes with vendor-assigned style numbers for easy re-ordering. The EZ Retail system also permits you to associate Item Codes with an array of product details so that Item Code tags, rather than UPCs, can be generated.

Track Item Details

Items can be given additional details. Most commonly size, color, brand, department, discount eligibility and many others. These details can be used by EZ Retail to show current inventory levels, generate reports on most popular items, show sales reports on items by a specific detail.

With EZ Retail, tracking inventory is simple; you'll always know what you have, where it is, and when it's time to reorder. Apply/Split Commisions

Items entered into EZ Retail can be flagged with eligibility for Commissions.

When employees are added as well, their commission schedules can be set, based on different specific categories or departments of items. At the end of a shift or end of pay period, a report can be generated to show the commissions due to employees.

In the event that a commission needs to be split on a particular sale, EZ Retail makes that simple for employees to share that sale or item's commission. It is also just as simple for a Manager to split sales or item's commissions amongst multiple employees after the sale as been committed.

Motivating your salespeople with commission incentives keeps your business growing...but keeping track of those incentives can be complex and prone to error. EZ Retail easily tracks commission schedules for specific categories or items; at the end of any shift or pay period, a report showing all commission earnings can be generated. Need to split commissions among employees? EZ Retail makes it a snap to share credit.
